Trish Cole is a tomboy screenwriter, poet, and playwright whose work often explores the intersect of social construct, gender, and identity. Her stage plays have been produced in New York, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, and regionally in Maryland. Trish is the recipient of the 2010 MCTF Excellence in Original Script Award, the author of the 2011 Maryland CommunityTheater Festival winner, a 2011 Bakeless Literary Prize Finalist, and the recipient of the 2013 MCTF Outstanding Original Play Award. Trish has also been a two-time Pride Films & Plays Women’s Work finalist. Trish grew up on the St. Mary’s River in southern Maryland and has returned to the river after living in Colorado, Oregon, Alaska, and California. She is a volunteer oyster grower for the St. Mary’s River Watershed Association, an avid follower of the migratory osprey of Horseshoe Bend, and an adjunct instructor of English and Women’s Studies at the College of Southern Maryland.
