Kevin Hanna splits his time between directing and writing for theater and film/TV. In addition to being the Social Director and Steering Committee member for the last 10 years for DirectorsLabChicago. He co-produced and directed the award-winning mockumentary short film The Exorsister, which won Best Screenplay and Best Use of Genre at the 2007 Filmapalooza Film Festival.
He most recently won the 2015 Gold Medal for Concepts/Treatments for his television pilot Public Access, from the World Series of Screenwriting, with the script itself placing Top Ten. During the 2015 festival season, Public Access also won 2nd Place in Comedy TV Pilot categories for the Cinerockom Film Festival and The International Indie Gathering Film Festival, among others.
In both film and theater, Kevin looks for stories that have never been told, seldom told, or never told in a particular way because these are the ones that give him the best challenges, like recent stage projects:The First and Last Musical on Mars, and The Cowboy and The Showgirl Cycle.
