Since graduating from his MFA at Roosevelt University, Jude Hansen has worked with Redmoon Theatre (Bellboys, Bears & Baggage), Redstitch Theatre (AD, Clybourne Park), The House Theatre (The Crownless King) and Piccolo Theatre (Mid Summer Nights Dream) as well as The New Colony, Halcyon Theatre, Kid Brooklyn Productions, Ex-Pats Theatre and of course Pride, Films & Plays. He has been involved in a total of eight readings for PFP (acting and directing) since joining the PFP ensemble in 2010.
Before moving to the States from Australia, Jude was a founding member and the artistic director of Placenta Theatre. The highlight of his time with the company was directing his own adaptation of John Osborne’s Look Back in Anger to critical acclaim. With Placenta Theatre, he also won Best Director for The Circus of Lust and Best Actor for All About You in successive years at the Midsumma Theatre Festival. Film credits include a starring role in the drama TWO which won the Award for Best Romance at the Australasia International Film Festival. In 1998, he was the recipient of the Australian National Young Playwrights Award for his work; Painting Controversials. He is currently represented by Shirley Hamilton.
