Ilene Fischer placates her split personality by making a living in television production while pursuing a career as a screenwriter and playwright. She is a member of both the Directors Guild and Dramatists Guild, and is pleased to have had her short screenplay, “Jilted: A Love Story,” place as a finalist in PFP’s 2012 Women’s Work Competition. Her full-length screenplay, “Girl Hopping,” was an OUTFEST finalist in 2003. In 2011, she adapted it for the stage where it was produced in Boston.
Ilene is an experienced stand-up and sketch comedian, improviser, and story-teller. She learned improv in her hometown of Chicago at The Players Workshoppe of the Second City, and was a principle actor and business manager of “Boston’s Most Sublime Improv Troupe – Renegade Duck” throughout the ‘90s.
