Amber Snyder is a native Texan who recently made her Chicago co-producing debut with Pride Films and Plays for the 2014 Women’s Words Weekend. She also made her Chicago acting debut as the plucky heroine in Pursuit Production’s silent play The Boxer. With a BFA in acting from Texas State University, Amber has performed professionally in Iowa, Tennessee, Nebraska, Pennsylvania and South Korea, where she performed and co-wrote, created and produced musicals that teach English. Some of her regional acting credits include The Glass Menagerie, Into the Woods (Playhouse on the Square), Fox on the Fairway, Miss Nelson is Missing, Don’t Hug Me (The Old Creamery Theatre) A Christmas Carol (Nebraska Theatre Caravan) and Crass Roots (Papilio Productions). While acting has always been her first passion in the arts, Amber is only fulfilled when she is also behind the scenes and therefore looks forward to being a part of what keeps Pride Films and Plays alive and growing in whatever capacity.
