Pride Films and Plays invites you to A Conversation with Shane Bitney Crone on Sunday, November 6, at 11 a.m. at The Broadway, part of the Pride Arts Center at 4147 N Broadway.
Bitney Crone’s heartbreaking story of lost love was told in the documentary Bridegroom, a film by Linda Bloodworth-Thomason. The emotional love story of Shane and Tom, two young men in a loving and committed relationship which was cut tragically short by a misstep off the side of a roof, and ripped forever asunder by the reaction of Tom’s family to this awful accident. Bitney Crone initially made a YouTube video – It Could Happen To You – which has been watched nearly 5,500,000 times, and inspired the longer film.
Crone is an activist, speaker, writer and filmmaker who will share his experiences with Pride Films and Plays and our community. It will also kick off PFP’s Gay Film Weekend which features five staged readings of new screenplays at Center on Halsted, November 11 to 13.
